My Little Monkey is TWO!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY GIRL!
I just can't believe it...How can my baby be 2, TWO?! She is getting so big, it is just too hard to believe!

We celebrated on her birthday with a cute little monkey themed birthday party (this child climbs on EVERYTHING, thus, she is our little monkey). I had the best time figuring out how I was going to bring this little party together (we had about 3 of her 2-year old friends, plus some older siblings and parents there). We had Blue Bell's banana pudding ice cream and with a little help from the internet, I made some monkey cupcakes:

Yummy!

Two of Louisa's favorite things are bubbles and glow sticks, so that's what we put in the favor bags. I started off going to Michael's craft store looking for inspiration and found some really cute monkey foam stickers and bought some simple white bags to put them on:
Favor Bags (notice the shout out to SC...banana "moon" and palm tree!)

I was looking for some monkey stickers to stick on the bubbles and things weren't going too well--stickers must not be as popular as they were when I was a child. I seem to remember stores with reems of stickers of every kind! Anyway, I was pointed to the direction of Hobby Lobby, my new favorite store! I did not find the stickers I was looking for, but I did find a monkey boarder (for a teacher's classroom). It was perfect, I just cut the boarder and taped it around the bubbles:

The party was fun for the children, they ran and played the whole time they were here! Of coures, I had Chisolm in my arms most of the party and didn't get any pictures of the children--I either need to learn how to take pictures while holding him, or need a photographer. Reeves, will you come next year?! ;)

Our good friend, the Rougeou's, are so generous and are constantly passing clothes on to us for Louisa. We LOVE the dresses that we normally get from them, but on Louisa's birthday she got her first bag of dress-ups! She was SO excited, she couldn't decide what to wear first! She picked her first outfit to try on, a dinosaur costume! Here are some cute pictures of Louisa celebrating at her party, playing in her costumes, in her diaper (while she loves dressing-up, she also loves taking her clothes off...I just don't fight it anymore), and strolling her baby dolls in her favorite birthday gifts, strollers!

Tutu cute--she couldn't wait to put one of her costumes on!

What an adorable dinosaur!

We had so much fun and are blessed to have such good friends to help us celebrate such important milestones while we are so far from our family. I still can't believe Louisa is 2! Thanks for checking in on life in Memphis!
