Making Cookies

Well, everyone who knows me, knows I love baking. I mean, I LOVE baking. Anything. I would say we almost always have some sort of fresh-baked goodness in our kitchen. Well, all of this is to say that our children will also bake. We'll have to see about Chisolm, but Louisa is following in her mama's footsteps. (yes, already!)

We went to dinner at our new favorite Mexican restaurant, Los Comales, again tonight. We're becoming regulars there, and I can't say enough how amazing their tacos are. They are just soooooo good. Louisa entertained Chisolm while we waited for our dinner to arrive and was having so much fun, she wasn't quite ready to be confined in her highchair. So, I have to admit, bribery came into play...I told her we could make cookies when we got home if she sat in her chair and ate her dinner. It worked. What can I say, this kid loves chocolate and sweets almost as much as her mama! You might wonder why I offered he the opportunity to bake cookies after dinner out--just today I picked up our fundraiser cookie dough, so it was ready and waiting in the freezer. (Note to reader: I was thinking about making some when we got home anyway--I wanted to know if these were any good...they were!)

Here are some pictures of Lousia making cookies.

cookie dough coming out of bin onto baking pan (pre-portioned dough made this super easy!) We'll spread them out later, gotta get the cookies on the pan!

Dada decided to join in on the fun and help Louisa

Waiting for them to cool off is sooo hard because, mmmmm, they smell sooooo yummy!

Gotta pick the perfect cookie and get it to my mouth as quickly as possible!

I wonder if I can sneak another cookie before Mama notices...

Oh Mama, this is goooood!

We had fun and they were delicious!
