Dinner at the Med

Alex is at the Med which means his patients see him more than we do. Well, we fight back by taking dinner to him at the Med! Here's a shot of Louisa and Chisolm climbing on Daddy as we head back to the ortho room for dinner. And don't worry--I'm pretty sure I used a whole bottle of purrell on each child with the amount of times I squirted that stuff on their hands. Pretty much anytime they touched something...Ewwww, I will not miss the Med!

The Forrest Spence Fund

Brittany and David Spence are an amazing couple. They had their beautiful son, Robert Forrest Spence, in September of 2007. Sadly, due to an infection, Forrest lived only 55 days. To honor their son's life and the impact he had on so many people, Brittany and David have created the Forrest Spence Fund. The mission of the Forrest Spence Fund is to assist with the non-medical needs of critically and chronically ill children and their families throughout the Mid-South.

Brittany and David are a truly inspirational couple who have taken the heartbreak they have experienced from losing their son and have found a way to give back to a hospital that fought for Forrest and to reach out to families who are going through a similar experience.

If you will not be in Memphis on August 27th or do not live here, you can still participate by being a "ghost runner" or by making a monetary donation.
