And Back Again...

Why not go to the zoo two days in a row?! We had a lot of fun at the zoo on Friday, so we headed back to meet some friends for a picnic lunch and another look around!

The grizzly bears were playing and running around for us:

We were even able to get a picture of ALL kids LOOKING AT THE CAMERA (ok, thanks to continuous shooting on my camera, but what else can you do?!):

And just a random shot of everyone checking out the giraffes. Of course, that's Louisa climbing to the top of the wires--she is definitely my little monkey!

Chisolm was there, but didn't make it into any shots. I'll try harder next time, little guy...

The Forrest Spence Fund

Brittany and David Spence are an amazing couple. They had their beautiful son, Robert Forrest Spence, in September of 2007. Sadly, due to an infection, Forrest lived only 55 days. To honor their son's life and the impact he had on so many people, Brittany and David have created the Forrest Spence Fund. The mission of the Forrest Spence Fund is to assist with the non-medical needs of critically and chronically ill children and their families throughout the Mid-South.

Brittany and David are a truly inspirational couple who have taken the heartbreak they have experienced from losing their son and have found a way to give back to a hospital that fought for Forrest and to reach out to families who are going through a similar experience.

If you will not be in Memphis on August 27th or do not live here, you can still participate by being a "ghost runner" or by making a monetary donation.
