We headed out to the zoo this Friday the 13th and had a great time checking out the fantastic new Teton Trek exhibit. The weather was perfect, the animals were active, and we had a really nice visit. As always, we are so thankful for our zoo membership which means we always have something to do (for free!). When we first walked in, Louisa ran to the bridge and darn it all if I couldn't get my camera ready to shoot in time. Sorry this one is out of focus, but it was going to be a great shot:
I'm into making collages these days (in case you couldn't tell by the last few posts--soooo easy to do and makes it so you can look at a bunch of pictures instead of my having to pick a few to show you. So, here are pictures of our trip to the zoo. Too bad you can't tell, but the sea lions were going CRAZY while we were there! They were swimming to the children at the glass and following them as they ran along the tank. Louisa loves sitting in the bubble since the sea lions can come right up to her. We also saw the rhino walking around, of course we only got a picture of his behind--oh well. Oh, and we made it to the farm part of the zoo for the first time. It was pretty neat. Louisa loved the cows and the horses.
While I was looking at the collage, I saw one picture that shows the sassy little girl Louisa has been these days. It is too cute and funny (right now, at least. It probably won't be when it comes with some attitude...). Anyway, here's a picture of Louisa looking back ever so casually at me when I've asked her to come back to me (we were heading the other direction and she wanted to go back to the water fall...):
