Rainy Day Puddles

My children LOVE puddles. I'm sure every child does, but mine actually get excited about seeing the rain roll in because it means that soon there will be puddles! They got the most adorable froggy rain boots (or "soggy boots" as Chisolm calls them) this year (thank you Target) and they are well worn (especially this spring!). Here are some pictures of a walk we took this afternoon shortly after the rain stopped (more like paused, but you get the point).

The Forrest Spence Fund

Brittany and David Spence are an amazing couple. They had their beautiful son, Robert Forrest Spence, in September of 2007. Sadly, due to an infection, Forrest lived only 55 days. To honor their son's life and the impact he had on so many people, Brittany and David have created the Forrest Spence Fund. The mission of the Forrest Spence Fund is to assist with the non-medical needs of critically and chronically ill children and their families throughout the Mid-South.

Brittany and David are a truly inspirational couple who have taken the heartbreak they have experienced from losing their son and have found a way to give back to a hospital that fought for Forrest and to reach out to families who are going through a similar experience.

If you will not be in Memphis on August 27th or do not live here, you can still participate by being a "ghost runner" or by making a monetary donation.
