Little Man is Here!

We are excited and proud to announce that Alexander Chisolm Coleman, Jr. has arrived! He was born on May 16th, 2009 at 1:26pm. He weighed in at 8lbs 2ozs and was 21 1/2 inches long. Although things got a little crazy in the delivery room and we were rushed to the OR for an emergency c-section, we are happy to have a healthy baby boy in our arms. Mama and baby Chisolm are both doing well, here are some pictures of the first week:

Mama and Daddy getting ready to head to the hospital for the induction. We were so excited and just couldn't wait to meet our new little man!

Mama in the OR waiting for Chisolm's big arrival...

He's here! After our little scare of low fetal heart tones and low oxygen levels in baby (and decreased heartrate in mama), our little guy, Alexander Chisolm Coleman, Jr. (named for his daddy and going by their middle name) arrived and let us all know it! Crying from the get-go, just like his big sister. There was definitely no problem with his lungs!

Louisa spent the night in the hospital room with us in her pack and play and was beyond excited to finally meet her "baby brudder". She's very concerned about him when he cries and always wants to check on him as soon as she wakes up in the morning or from her nap. At this point, she reminds me of Elmyra from Looney Toons. Remember: "I'm gonna hug you, and kiss you, and love you forever, and never use you up." Yes, Louisa has quite a, well, aggressive love for little Chisolm and has been found trying to "hug" him out of his bouncy seat, his baby lounger, his bassinett, his crib (yes, she climbs onto the side rail to get closer to him)...needless to say, we are definitely keeping an eye on Louisa when she is around or has access to Chisolm. Here are some cute pictures of Louisa and Chisolm.
You can tell she's holding on tight!

All 4 of us for the first time. We could not get Louisa to look at the camera--I have no idea what she was looing at up there!
